Apple Rice Pilaf with Chicken Breasts

    1 pkg Mahatma® Classic Pilaf Rice Mix
    4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
    2 each garlic cloves, chopped
    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1/2 cup Marsala wine or chicken broth
    1/4 cup honey
    2 Tbsps white wine Worcestershire sauce
    1 apple, chopped
    1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Directions
    Prepare rice mix according to package directions.

    While rice is cooking, in a large skillet, sauté chicken breasts and garlic in olive oil until chicken is cooked (about 10-12 minutes). Remove chicken breasts from skillet. Add wine, honey and white wine Worcestershire sauce to skillet with remaining juices. Add apples. Simmer until sauce thickens. Add thyme to rice mixture and mix. Place chicken breasts over rice and cover with sauce.
